The content on orizonhome.ca is provided for general information, marketing, and customer support purposes. While we try to keep website information accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or free from errors.
You agree not to use our website for any unlawful, abusive, harmful, or fraudulent purpose. You also agree not to interfere with the website’s operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malware, scrape content, or misuse any online forms or communication features.
3. Quotes, Pricing, and Promotions
Any prices, promotions, discounts, bundles, or offers shown on our website or in advertisements are subject to availability, eligibility, and change without notice unless otherwise stated in writing.
A quote does not become binding until it is confirmed by Orizon Home and accepted by the customer through the applicable sales, installation, service, or monitoring agreement.
Promotional offers may be subject to additional terms, including minimum service periods, equipment requirements, installation fees, activation fees, monitoring fees, credit approval, financing approval, or geographic service limitations.
4. Customer Agreements
Certain Orizon Home products and services may require you to enter into a separate written or electronic agreement. This may include a purchase agreement, installation agreement, monitoring agreement, financing agreement, or service agreement.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed customer agreement, the signed customer agreement will apply to the extent of the conflict.
You are responsible for reviewing all agreements before signing or accepting them.
5. Installation Services
If you purchase installation services from Orizon Home, you agree to provide reasonable access to the property at the scheduled installation time.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- You have legal authority to approve installation at the property
- The installation location is safe and accessible
- Required approvals from landlords, condo boards, property managers, or other responsible parties have been obtained
- Existing wiring, internet service, electrical systems, and structural conditions are suitable for installation
- Pets, hazards, or obstructions are managed before the installer arrives
Orizon Home may reschedule or refuse installation if the property is unsafe, inaccessible, unsuitable, or if required approvals have not been obtained.
Additional charges may apply if extra work, special equipment, return visits, or changes to the original scope are required.
6. Equipment
Depending on your agreement, equipment may be purchased outright, financed, leased, rented, or provided as part of a service package.
Ownership of equipment will depend on the terms of your specific customer agreement. You are responsible for reviewing your agreement to understand whether equipment is owned by you, financed by you, rented by you, or remains the property of Orizon Home or a third-party provider.
You agree not to tamper with, damage, misuse, relocate, modify, or attempt to repair equipment unless authorized by Orizon Home.
7. Monitoring and Alarm Services
Where monitoring services are included, Orizon Home or its service partners may receive alarm signals from your system and may attempt to notify you, your emergency contacts, emergency responders, or other applicable parties depending on the nature of the alarm and the terms of your agreement.
You understand and agree that alarm systems and monitoring services are not a guarantee that:
- An emergency will be prevented
- A burglary, fire, flood, medical event, or other incident will not occur
- Emergency responders will arrive within a specific timeframe
- All alarms will be detected, transmitted, received, verified, or acted upon
- Equipment will operate without interruption or error
Security and automation systems depend on several factors outside Orizon Home’s control, including power supply, internet connection, cellular connection, Wi-Fi reliability, equipment condition, user settings, third-party platforms, emergency service availability, and proper customer use.
8. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for using your system properly and maintaining the conditions required for it to function.
This includes:
- Keeping your account information current
- Updating emergency contact information when needed
- Testing your system as recommended
- Replacing batteries when required
- Maintaining internet, Wi-Fi, cellular, and power connections
- Keeping passwords, access codes, and login credentials secure
- Not sharing access with unauthorized users
- Training household members or authorized users on proper system use
- Not using cameras, audio, or recording features unlawfully
- Complying with local bylaws, permit requirements, and false alarm rules
You are also responsible for any activity that occurs through your account, app, access code, or connected devices unless caused by Orizon Home’s negligence or misconduct.
9. Permits, False Alarms, and Local Requirements
Some municipalities, emergency services, police services, fire departments, condo boards, landlords, or property managers may require permits, approvals, registrations, or compliance with specific rules before a security system or alarm system may be used.
You are responsible for determining and complying with any applicable requirements for your property.
You are responsible for any false alarm fees, fines, penalties, service charges, or other costs imposed by a municipality, emergency service, police service, fire department, property manager, landlord, condo board, or other authority unless otherwise stated in your written agreement.
10. Smart Home Automation Services
Home automation services may allow you to control or automate devices such as locks, thermostats, lighting, cameras, garage controls, and other connected devices.
You understand that automation features may not always operate as expected due to internet outages, device malfunctions, battery failure, software updates, compatibility issues, user settings, third-party platform changes, or other conditions outside Orizon Home’s control.
You are responsible for confirming that automation settings are appropriate and safe for your household.
11. Video, Audio, and Recording Features
If your system includes cameras, microphones, video doorbells, recording devices, or similar features, you are responsible for using those features lawfully and respectfully.
You agree not to use recording features in a way that violates privacy rights, employment laws, tenancy laws, criminal laws, surveillance laws, or any other applicable legal obligations.
You are responsible for where cameras and recording devices are placed, who has access to recordings, and whether notice or consent is required from other people.
Orizon Home is not responsible for your unlawful or unauthorized use of video, audio, or recording features.
12. Third-Party Products, Apps, and Services
Some Orizon Home products or services may depend on third-party equipment, platforms, applications, software, networks, monitoring providers, payment processors, financing providers, cellular providers, internet providers, cloud storage providers, or emergency response providers.
Your use of third-party products or services may be subject to separate terms, conditions, privacy policies, fees, limitations, and availability.
Orizon Home is not responsible for failures, outages, changes, updates, discontinuation, or actions of third-party providers that are outside our reasonable control.
13. App Access and Account Security
If your system includes app-based access, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password, PINs, access codes, and device access.
You agree to notify Orizon Home promptly if you believe your account, system, app, device, or access credentials have been compromised.
Orizon Home may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe there is unauthorized use, suspicious activity, non-payment, misuse, a security concern, or a breach of these Terms.
14. Payments and Billing
You agree to pay all fees, charges, taxes, installation costs, equipment costs, monitoring fees, service fees, financing payments, cancellation fees, late fees, or other amounts set out in your customer agreement.
Payment terms, billing frequency, accepted payment methods, late payment consequences, and applicable taxes will be described in your agreement or invoice.
If payment is not received when due, Orizon Home may suspend or terminate services, charge late fees where permitted, recover unpaid amounts, or take other actions allowed by law or your agreement.
Service suspension or termination may affect your system’s ability to send alarm signals, receive monitoring, access app features, or use connected services.
15. Financing
If equipment or services are financed through Orizon Home or a third-party financing provider, the financing arrangement may be governed by a separate financing agreement.
Approval, interest rates, payment terms, cancellation rights, credit checks, and collection rights may be determined by the financing provider or applicable law.
Orizon Home is not responsible for the terms, approval decisions, or actions of third-party financing providers unless required by law.
16. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation rights, refund eligibility, early termination fees, equipment return requirements, and service termination rules will depend on the type of agreement you entered into and applicable Alberta and Canadian law.
Some Alberta customers may have statutory cancellation rights for certain direct sales, prepaid contracts, or other regulated consumer agreements. Where those rights apply, Orizon Home will honour them in accordance with applicable law.
Unless otherwise required by law or stated in your customer agreement:
- Installation fees may be non-refundable once installation work has begun or been completed
- Equipment charges may be non-refundable once equipment has been installed, used, damaged, or customized
- Monitoring or service fees may continue until cancellation is completed in accordance with your agreement
- Early termination fees may apply if you cancel before the end of a committed service term
- Returned equipment must be in acceptable condition, where returns are permitted
To request cancellation, contact Orizon Home using the contact information provided at the end of these Terms.
17. Service Changes, Suspension, or Termination
Orizon Home may modify, suspend, or terminate products or services where reasonably necessary, including for:
- Non-payment
- Safety concerns
- Suspected fraud or misuse
- Violation of these Terms
- Violation of a customer agreement
- Discontinued third-party services
- Equipment incompatibility
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
We will provide notice where required by law or your customer agreement.
18. Warranties and Service Limitations
Any warranty for equipment, installation, repair, or service will be described in your customer agreement, manufacturer warranty, or applicable service plan.
Except as expressly stated in writing or required by law, Orizon Home does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, compatibility with every device, prevention of loss, or detection of every event.
Products and services are provided subject to reasonable technical, operational, and third-party limitations.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orizon Home will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of property, loss of data, loss of use, loss of profits, emotional distress, personal inconvenience, or business interruption.
Home security and automation systems are designed to reduce risk and support convenience. They do not eliminate risk. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance for your home, property, belongings, and personal liability.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
20. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Orizon Home, its employees, contractors, officers, directors, service providers, and partners from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, penalties, costs, or expenses arising from:
- Your misuse of products or services
- Your breach of these Terms or a customer agreement
- Your unlawful use of cameras, audio, recording, or automation features
- Your failure to obtain required permissions, permits, or approvals
- Your failure to maintain account security
- Your violation of applicable laws or third-party rights
21. Privacy
Your use of Orizon Home’s website, products, and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain personal information.
By using our website or services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed our Privacy Policy.
22. Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, logos, graphics, text, images, layouts, service names, and other materials on orizonhome.ca are owned by or licensed to Orizon Home unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or use Orizon Home’s branding or website content without written permission.
23. Force Majeure
Orizon Home will not be responsible for delays, failures, interruptions, or service issues caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, fires, floods, labour disruptions, power outages, internet outages, cellular network outages, government actions, emergencies, pandemics, supply shortages, cyber incidents, third-party provider failures, or acts of God.
24. Changes to These Terms
Orizon Home may update these Terms from time to time. When updates are made, the “Last Updated” date will be revised.
Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms, unless additional notice or consent is required by law or your customer agreement.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada.
Any disputes will be handled in Alberta, unless otherwise required by law or stated in a separate written agreement.
